Can I just say..

I am soooo nervous to go to France by my lonesome. I just talked to my boss long distance from England today and a bit of it scared the shit out of me, like, lump in my throat, vomit inducing fear. So if you're going to pray for me, I'd suggest you start with my shaky nerves. I'm leaving Monday night.

I'll let ya'll know what my address is as soon as I get there, because you guys need to write me some stuff. I"ll also have internet while I'm there and probably a phone card, for the lucky ones ;). So if you want to calm my nerves, leave me messages.

I think that this is going to be a good experience for me and I know I'll learn a lot. I hope one of those things will be French.....or else I'm kind of screwed.

I think I'll start a Live journal or a blog spot to record my travels. I'll let you know.

Love you all.

Leigh

My Day consisted of:

The best cinnimon rolls ever, made from scratch by my Mom.

Going to Church and seeing Grandma Shirly and uncle Paul, having my Mom laugh nervously after i tell an aquantince that I just graduated with a comm/Theater Degree.

Coming home to help pack up two cars full of stuff for the other house.

Dressing up with my sister Maddy by tying black sheets around our necks and swooping around the back yard in the serious fashion while my sister Bonnie mows the lawn unsuspectingly....apparently "Dancing in the Moonlight" was playing on her ipod during the alleged "flight"

Then I took a 3 hour nap during a perfectly beautiful day rendering me useless for the rest of the evening....although I did make a shirt.

I'm still freaking out a little about my trip to France, also I am extremely excited. I found out recently that I have to take a train out to Angers where my employer will meet me to pick me up, more lonelyness......can i fly with a moPed? I might get a moPed when I'm in France....or maybe just a bike or a donkey...

Peace be with y'all.

Well let's take a look

I just spent 2 hours in the Caroline Computer lab watching the season finale of Greys Anatomy, it was sooooo good, my heart is now trying to leap out of my chest. Wow so emotional. Thankfully no tears came, that would have been a bit uncomfortable for the summer school students trying to get their work done before tomorrow.

Yesterday I sat in Book Cellars reading "Epileptic" for about an hour or so, got through about 1/3 of the book and decided it was too expensive to buy....I should have bought it...I ended up, instead buying a book by Soren Kierkegaard called "The Seducers Diary" taken from his Either/or writings. I was pretty baffled by myself because Kierkegaard is one of those names that pop up with all you Philosophy folks, like Hagel and Aquinas. Usually when these names come up my brain immediately reverts it's self to a favored beatles tune or a beloved memory of doing something more interesting than being caught in a conversation about philosophy, such as buttering toast or something. But i read the back of this book opened it up to the middle and read a bit and decided that this would be the closest I'll ever get to beginning to even think about knowing what you guys might possibly be talking about. So I bought it. i brought it home (to my pathetic now almost empty apartment) and read the first two pages out loud to myself because it is just written so damn well i wanted to actually hear the words. Needless to say I'll be done with the 136 page book in about 3 months.

Can some one relate to me about something: Psychological residue from your traumatic middle school social experience unwantedly sticking around.

Little girl in the middle with her tongue out = me

Things come together....and fall apart

Yesterday my round trip ticket to Paris was bought. I'll be there (in France) from the 17 of June till the 27th of July. Holy Crap.
I'm really excited and all but I mean holy crap! I am going on an adventure all by myself to a place where I can barely get by on the countries language so I can mow the lawn and clean the pool for rich vacationers at a place where I'll probably be the only 20 something for miles. Adventure indeed.

This is where I'll be working:

So there you have it....I'm going. It's not what i originally planned to do in France and it's not for as long as I'd hoped but I'm sure there are many beautiful things in store for me.

If you want to come and visit me....feel free, I'm allowed to have guests.

My apartment in Pathetic. Most of the furniture is gone, My roommate is gone, there's barely any food in there, there's no internet and there is now no t.v. So I listened to NPR and read Cosmo all morning while eating a bowl of oatmeal in bed. lovely. I'm trying to get out of Chicago as soon as I can, sorry every one but Leigh needs a change of scenery and a change of pace.

Ohio was beautiful, everyone had fun. Having my NPU buddies there reminded me of how beautiful Northeast Ohio is, it's very green and hilly, you should come visit sometime.

I have a feeling if I'd brought a bunch of New Yorkers to Northeast Ohio they would just spend the entire time talking about how great New York is.....but that's to be expected.
